This Women's Suffrage in Scotland unit is designed to support learning and teaching of History in secondary schools in Scotland at Standard Grade, Intermediate and Higher National Certificate levels. The issue of votes for women is also of major importance in education for citizenship, highlighting issues of both peaceful and violent protest in a campaign for change.
