The SCAN online catalogue allows you to obtain information about more than 20,000 collections of historical records archives throughout Scotland. Read more about our online catalogue.

Catalogue work is still in progress and entries relating to collections of records in participating archives are gradually being added to this site.

Since 2007 we have experienced performance issues with the original version of the SCAN online catalogue. A new version of the online catalogue will be tested in the second half of April 2008. During this time you will be able to use the original version of the catalogue or the new version.
