The Scottish Archive Network (SCAN) is building up a Knowledge Base of answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about specific professions or categories of ancestor, such as paupers, policemen, physicians, school pupils etc. The answers are based on the knowledge of professional archivists and experienced researchers in Scotland.
